Non-Attorney Mediation Rachel A. Leininger, MSW has joined our Divorce Mediation Staff. We are proud to announce that Rachel A. Leininger, MSW, has joined our mediation staff. Rachel has over ten years experience in peer group mediation and recently completed her certification as a Divorce Mediator. After receiving her Master's Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University, Rachel practiced as a Social Worker for the Jewish Board of Family Services. Eight years ago, she became a NYC teacher. For the past three years she has been a Dean at an Island Intermediate school.
 Rachel Leininger Since Rachel is not an attorney, her hourly rate is, at $200 per hour, much less than Mr. Leininger's hourly rate of $395, and substantially less than Ms. Karp's hourly rate of $325. The fee for a 30 minute initial consultation with Ms. Leininger is only $50, rather than our firm's usual consultation fee of $100. The up-front retainer is only $1,000 when you choose to use Rachel as your Divorce Mediator, rather than our usual retainer of $2,500. With her many years of experience working with children, she is the perfect choice where parenting issues are a major problem area, and also where it is essential to keep mediation fees as low as possible. Since Rachel is not an attorney, her Divorce Mediations result in the preparation of a Memorandum of Understanding, which can then be given to a low-cost attorney who will process your divorce. If you prefer, Mr. Leininger will prepare the draft Stipulation of Settlement and review it with you line by line should you wish to review the actual legal document that will govern your rights and obligations once the Judgment of Divorce is granted. Another great reason for using Rachel as your Divorce Mediator is that she is available several evenings per week until 8:00 PM, as well as on both Saturdays and Sundays!
